Announcing: Our store!

I have a hard time dealing with the thought that it’s been nearly three years since I persuaded Tina to start up a website.  First of all, because it emphasizes to me how quickly time can pass when we’re having this much fun; but more importantly, that it’s a keen reminder that I am exactly 2.9 years late on my various promises to support Tina’s non-stop creativity.

If it’s not obvious by now, I’m happy to admit that my good fortune allows me to reach out in any direction and hit someone talented.  That’s been my luck since I was soundly vanquished in tenth grade by one of my best friends in a history project that turned into a WWII-era art showdown, and it’s lasted ever since — whether in the people I’ve worked with, the people I’ve with whom I’ve shared my time, or the woman I’ve married.

Talent, everywhere!  Honestly, it’s more than a person can process sometimes, which is the excuse I like to use for why I haven’t been able to make the most of the incredible designs that have been provided to me by Chris Cowley, another long-standing friend of mine.   He’s been carefully producing fun and hilarious designs for us for ages, starting with my absolute favorite:

We’ve had great ideas like this one under wraps for a long time, and today I’m happy to share the first wave of them with you as the inaugural offerings of our Choosy Beggars web store.   It’s here that we hope to offer you fun, neat little items that help to capture the fun we have in dreaming up, making and sharing the food that we love so much.

Or, if nothing else, remind you of the fundamentals of Scottish cuisine.

The important thing is, we’ll be continually adding new items to help share your own joy for cooking, hosting and sharing delicious cocktails with your guests.  And if perhaps there is a persuasive unicorn in your midst to help things out, who are we to question it?  Magical creatures, are they.

Whether you’re paying tribute to your adorable Kitchen Monkey, or you’re honoring the venerable if mutually annihilating Navy Way, we hope you’ll take a moment to stop by and see what we have on offer.

And look!  A helpful carousel!

I hope you’ll take a look, let us know what you think, and share with us any ideas for what else we could share!

You know, that Flavor is Decadent print would make the greatest apron of all time, and I would personally buy three.

That is the kind of heads-up commenting that will result in that very option becoming available to you by tomorrow.

Thanks for the idea and check back soon!
